Frequently asked questions about the kayak map of Poland

How do I plan a kayaking trip?
You have two ways. You can browse ready, described routes and pick a river or lake, or draw your own: mark points along the water and the map traces the route across rivers and lakes, measures the distance and lets you download a GPX track.
Does the map show where to get in and out of the kayak?
Yes. You can switch on put-in points, marinas and shelters, beaches, campsites, legal wild-camping spots in forests, kayak rentals and parking by the water. Each layer turns on and off separately.
Can I use the route for navigation?
Yes. You can download the planned route as a GPX file and use it in any navigation app that supports tracks – also on the water, where there is no signal.
Does the map cover the whole of Poland?
Yes, the trails are spread across the country, from Warmia and Masuria to Lower Silesia and the Subcarpathia. New rivers and lakes are added regularly, so there is always more to explore.
Are the routes on the map verified?
The map is built from open data and marked as a beta version, so it may contain errors. Every route is described from sources, but conditions on the water change from day to day, so always check them on the spot before you set off.
